What's new in EventCraft
Every EventCraft update, newest first — what we added, changed and fixed, and the version it shipped in.

LatestInvite a helper and they get an event built around their job — the sections their role covers, and nothing that turns them away.
Changed- Helpers you invite now get a menu built for their role. Someone you invite as a Guest Manager sees the guest sections — guests, RSVPs, gifts, invitation wording and cards, QR codes and the event day — and nothing else. A Finance Manager sees the budget, spending and financing; a Content Manager the event page. Sections a role does not cover are no longer listed at all, instead of being listed and then refusing to open.
- The event dashboard shows each helper only their own part of the event. A helper who looks after guests sees the guest and RSVP figures; the budget, task, spending and supplier cards — and the downloads that contain them — belong to the roles that work on those.
- The Plan timeline follows task access, and Settings is for helpers who can edit the event. Both used to open for anyone on the event, including roles with no business in them.
- Your own dashboard's upcoming tasks now covers only events whose task list you can open.
Fixed- Sections in an event's menu no longer lead to "page not found". Invited helpers used to see every section in the menu and be turned away from most of them.
- The guided tour skips what your role cannot see, instead of pausing on each one.
Security- A shared event only shares the parts you meant to share. The event summary download now contains just the sections the person opening it is allowed to see.

Your invitation links now look like invitations when you share them: your event, your guest's name and your cover photo.
New- Invitation links look like invitations when you share them. Send a guest their RSVP link on WhatsApp, Messenger, Telegram or most other apps, and the preview now shows your event's name, a line written to that guest by name ("Dear Mr Manul Perera, you're invited to join us on…") with the date and venue, and your event page's cover photo. Events without a cover photo get an invitation card with the event's name and date instead, in English or Sinhala. EventCraft's own branding no longer appears in the preview.
Fixed- "Viewed" now means the guest opened their invitation. Sending an invitation link on WhatsApp used to mark the guest as viewed straight away, because WhatsApp opens the link on your phone to build its preview. Only the guest opening it counts now.

Guests can find your venue in one tap — a Get directions button on every RSVP page.
New- A "Get directions" button for your guests. Add your venue's location in event settings, under Location on Google Maps: paste the link from Google Maps' Share button, or find the venue on the map and drop a pin. Every guest's RSVP page then shows a Get directions button that opens it in Google Maps, in the plain page and in every RSVP page design, and so does your public event page. The venue's address now shows on the plain RSVP page too.

Replying to your invitation is now a few taps — counters for who's coming and picture cards for the meal.
Changed- Guests answer your RSVP with taps, not typing. How many adults and children are coming is now a − / + counter on each line, showing how many the invitation covers, so nobody has to fiddle with a number box on their phone. The number can still be typed for anyone who prefers to.
- Meal choices are picture cards. Instead of a dropdown, guests pick their meal from six cards (Anything, Vegetarian, Non-veg, Halal, Kids' meal, Other), each with its own emoji. The cards follow your RSVP page design's colours and read properly in Sinhala.
- The same counters and meal cards in your own screens. Plus-ones and children on the guest form, and the party size and meal when you record an RSVP yourself, now use the same controls.
Fixed- Meal options on the guest RSVP page showed internal codes such as "NON_VEG" instead of readable names.

Guests are addressed by their title — on screen, on printed QR codes and out loud.
Changed- Spoken welcomes now use your guest's title. A guest you've given a title is greeted as "Welcome, Mr. Manul!" rather than just "Welcome, Manul!" — on their invitation page and at check-in. Guests without a title are still welcomed by first name, so leave the title blank for anyone you'd greet that way. Greetings you already recorded for titled guests show as out of date on the Voice greetings page; re-record them to hear the title.
Fixed- Guest titles show everywhere a guest's name does. Print QR codes (the guest list, its search and the labels under each code), your guest's RSVP page in every design, the check-in page, the scanner and the venue display, RSVP confirmation emails and new-RSVP notifications now show "Mr Manul Perera" or "Mr & Mrs Kasun Silva", so two guests with the same name are easy to tell apart. A title also typed into the name is never shown twice.

Invite a friend to EventCraft and you both get something.
New- Invite a friend, and you both get something. Every account now has its own invitation link under "Invite friends". Share it with someone planning an event, and when they join on it and get set up, a reward lands on both accounts — extra time on your plan, a spell on a bigger one, or credits, depending on what's being offered at the time. The page shows what's on offer, who has joined on your link, and what you've earned.
- A place to enter an invitation code. Signing up from a friend's link fills the code in for you; if someone read theirs out over the phone, there's now a box to type it into.

Your guests' RSVP page can now look like a wedding invitation — pick a design, pick the colours, and see it exactly as they will.
New- Choose a design for your guests' RSVP page. Weddings and homecomings can now dress the page each guest opens from their invitation in one of six new designs, each in three colourways: *Poruwa* (a gilded arch, lotus crest and creeper vines), *Pahana* (festoon lights and two lit clay lamps — made for homecomings), *Araliya* (frangipani and soft watercolour, with an arch for your photo), *Airmail* (arrives as a sealed envelope your guest opens), *Deco Nights* (black-tie Art Deco in gold) and *Linen* (clean and editorial, with a little calendar). The simple page you have today stays, and stays the default.
- Everything your guests need, on the invitation. Designed pages show the couple's names, the date, time and venue, a live countdown, and one-tap directions and "add to calendar". Replying, leaving a note and showing the check-in QR work exactly as before.
- Make it yours. Add a couple photo to designs that have one, write your own invitation line, choose whose name comes first, and switch the countdown off — with a live phone preview of what guests will see before you save. Find it under RSVP → RSVP page design.

Every kind of event gets its own set of questions now — and your plan's event limit is something you hear about before you start, not after you finish.
New- The event wizard now asks the right questions for your kind of event. A wedding asks for the bride and groom and keeps both sides of the guest list apart; a birthday asks whose it is; a baby shower asks for the mum-to-be; a corporate event asks for the company and never mentions hometowns. Twelve event types, twelve tailored paths.
- Your event names itself. Tell us who it's for and the name is filled in for you — "Nimali & Kasun's Wedding" — ready to change to anything you like.
- Budget starting points. Once we know roughly how many guests are coming, the budget step offers three one-tap figures based on typical Sri Lankan spend per guest, and shows what your budget works out to per guest as you type.
- More of your event, captured up front. The people it's for, a full venue address, an end date for events that run over more than one day, and an optional breakdown of your guest list by family, friends, colleagues, VIPs, children, vegetarian meals and who drinks.
- Your answers are kept if you get interrupted. Leave the wizard half-finished and come back to find everything you typed still there.
Changed- You're told about your plan's event limit before you start, not after you finish. Opening the wizard with no event slots left now shows what's using them, what an upgrade gives you, and how to free one up — instead of letting you fill in the whole form and refusing at the last step. When you do have room, the wizard says how much.
- A calmer, more polished wizard. Seven short steps instead of one long form, with a progress rail you can jump back through, a live preview of the event you're building, and a review page you can edit any section from. Only the type, name and date are required — every other step can be skipped.
- The name of the person an event is for is called the same thing everywhere. The event settings page now uses the same wording as the wizard, so a name entered as "Mum-to-be's name" isn't relabelled later.

Your invitation is yours to design on every side — and downloads and shares now include the back.
New- Design every side of your invitation. Uploaded a finished design? Add the back (up to four sides for a folded card), upload a design for each, and put each guest's name and QR code on whichever side you like — the front, the back, or both.
- Full control in the card designer. Add text, pictures and QR codes to any side; duplicate, delete or layer them; and move anything to another side. Add, reorder, copy or remove sides. Text gets its own colour, font, italics and capitals, and pictures can fill their box or fit inside it with rounded corners.
Fixed- Downloading or sharing a card now includes the back. Saving a card as an image — from the designer, a guest's row, or a guest's own card page — gives you every side in one picture, and each side is also available on its own. Sharing an invitation through WhatsApp sends each side as its own image, and cards attached to invitation emails show every side. Sides you left completely empty are left out of images but still print in the PDF.
- Switching an uploaded design to the designer no longer adds an empty back side that then printed as a blank page.

Your invitation email's header picture now reaches your guests' inboxes.
Fixed- Header pictures in invitation emails now reach your guests. If you uploaded a picture for the top of your invitation email, it looked right in your preview but could arrive as a broken image in guests' inboxes, Gmail included. Invitations sent from now on show it properly — nothing to change on your side.
- A tidier image library. Pictures in the Library no longer press against the edge of the window. The warning you see before deleting an image that is still in use now shows the image itself, lists where it is used, and keeps its buttons clear of the edges.

Pictures you upload are yours to reuse — and uploaded card designs show up again.
New- Reuse an image you already uploaded. Anywhere you add a picture — an invitation card design, an event page, the day display, an email header — there is now a Library button showing every image you have uploaded to that event. Pick one and it is used straight away, with nothing to upload again.
- Delete images you no longer need. The same library lets you remove an image for good, which frees the space it was taking on your plan. If the image is still used on a card or page, EventCraft tells you exactly where before you decide.
Changed- Adding a picture now shows the one you already have. When an image is already chosen you see it, with Replace and Remove beside it, instead of being asked to upload as though nothing were there.
Fixed- Uploaded invitation card designs appear again. An image uploaded for a card could go missing from the design and stop the design being saved at all. Uploads now show up as soon as they finish. Images uploaded while this was happening are repaired.

Your event overview now shows what the event is projected to cost, not just what has been spent.
Changed- Your event overview shows projected spend. The Budget tile and the Budget overview card now show what your event is projected to cost — the same figure as the Budget page — alongside what you have already spent, and warn you when the plan runs past your total budget.

Print every guest's QR code in one go, laid out to the millimetre for cutting out and pasting onto invitations.
New- Print QR codes in bulk. A new page under Guests & RSVP lays your guests' QR codes out on A4, A3, SRA3, US Letter and other paper sizes — or a size of your own — and downloads a print-ready PDF to cut out and paste onto invitations. Everything is measured in millimetres: margins, code size and colour, padding, cutting lines (solid, dashed, dotted or crop marks), rounded corners and spacing. Fit a grid such as 3 × 4 in one click, add each guest's name or table under their code, and see a live preview of every sheet as you go.
- See whose QR codes are printed. The same page lists every guest with whether their code has been printed, and when. Filter the list, tick guests to print just them, and mark codes you printed some other way.
- Save your print settings. Keep the settings you like as your default, and the wizard starts with them on every event. Start over whenever you need to.

Scheduled invitations now go out, and the guest list and RSVP pages are easier to work with.
New- Choose your guest-list columns. Hide the columns you don't need right now from the guest list. Contribution starts hidden, since it has its own page, and your choice is remembered on that device.
- Guest list pages. Long guest lists now come in pages of 25, 50 or 100, so they stay quick to scroll and filter.
Changed- Guest notes open from the guest's row. On the RSVP page, a guest's message, voice note or video now opens in its own window from their row in the table, instead of a separate list.
- Easier guest search. The search box on the guests and RSVP pages is bigger, shows how many guests match and clears in one click. Press / to jump straight to it.
- A doughnut chart for your headcount. "Where every invited head stands" is now a doughnut, with each share shown as a percentage.
- A roomier RSVP page. The RSVP page now uses the full width of the screen, and the separate "Recent responses" list is gone. Every reply, including any message the guest wrote, is in the guest table.
Fixed- Scheduled invitations now go out. Invitations scheduled from the guest list are emailed at the time you picked. Scheduling is for email: guests without an email address aren't scheduled, and WhatsApp invitations are still sent from your own phone.

EventCraft has been live since 7 July 2026. This is our first numbered release, and it rolls up the notable changes since launch. From now on, every update gets its own version on this page.
New- Guest notes. Guests can leave a written message with their RSVP — or, on plans that include it, a voice or video note — and come back later to see or delete it.
- Voice greetings. Welcome each guest by name with a natural spoken greeting, on their invitation page and at check-in. Available on paid plans, using your own ElevenLabs account.
- Couples and families on one invitation. Address one invitation to "Mr & Mrs Perera" or a whole family, and see your guest total counted in people, children included, rather than in invitations.
- Guests in more than one group. Groups now work like tags, so one guest can belong to several.
- Optional meal question. Switch off the meal-preference question on your RSVP form when you don't need it.
- Event funding and loans. Record money borrowed for an event, with the interest worked out for you.
- Share on WhatsApp. Send an invitation card and its message to WhatsApp in one tap.
- Your own invitation email header. Put your event's banner and title at the top of invitation emails. Paid plans can also remove EventCraft branding.
- Daily RSVP digest. Opt in to one email a day summarising new RSVPs for your event.
- Expense receipts and invoices. Attach PDF receipts and invoices to expenses, record the amount a vendor invoiced, and set an expense's payment status yourself.
- Add a category or vendor from the expense form. "+ New" creates a missing budget category or vendor on the spot, and a payment you have already made can be recorded in the same step.
- PDF bank-transfer slips. When paying by bank transfer, upload the deposit slip your banking app gives you as a PDF.
- Plan usage at a glance. Usage meters on the billing page, and a clear notice when your account is over its plan's limits.
- Full plan comparison on the pricing page.
- Card designer. Drag and resize elements in the advanced designer, and recolour the guest QR code.
Changed- Redesigned event dashboard, with a single sidebar inside each event's workspace.
- Simpler invitation sending, with WhatsApp as the default channel.
- Host-controlled event-day check-in. Scanner phones and display screens now pair with your event using a short code before they can check guests in.
- One QR code per guest, used for both the digital invitation and check-in.
- Bank slips and expense receipts open in a built-in viewer, and only for people allowed to see them.
- Events you collaborate on now count toward your plan. Your event limit includes the events you help plan, not only the ones you own. If you go over it, you choose which events to keep. Your other events are put on hold for 30 days — upgrade or free up room in that time to get them back — and are then deleted. Collaborations you don't keep are paused, never deleted.
Fixed- Signing out now fully ends your session on that device.
- Guests can now include their children when they RSVP.
- A single PayHere payment can no longer be charged twice.
- The PayHere checkout button no longer spins and stops without taking you to payment.
- The camera and microphone work again for the check-in scanner and for guest voice and video notes.
- Video notes recorded on phones are now small enough to send reliably.
- Deleting a guest now also removes their RSVP and notes.
- The guest-import template now matches the fields on the add-guest form.
- Exporting an invitation card no longer fails when its background is an uploaded image.
- The billing page now offers exactly the plans on the pricing page, and makes the selected billing cycle obvious.
- Invoice numbers stay unique when several payments complete at the same moment.
- The site header no longer overlaps the language switcher on phones.
Security- Every uploaded file is now checked for its real type and for unsafe content, PDFs included.
- Stricter permission checks throughout the app, and stronger browser security headers.
How our version numbers work
EventCraft numbers its versions MAJOR.MINOR.PATCH (Semantic Versioning). A patch release (1.0.1) fixes problems. A minor release (1.1.0) adds features without changing how you already work. A major release (2.0.0) changes or removes something you rely on — and when that happens, we'll always explain what to do.
